As a professed Book-a-holic, I'm in Book Heaven right about now!
Have you noticed how many Paranormal Romances are out right
now? So many books, so little time.....! My Library just grew bigger
and I'm beginning to worry about space. I no longer have a home.
I have a Library with other rooms! LOL!
The first today is a fantastic and unique Contemporary Fantasy
titled THE FRUIT OF THE FALLEN by JC Burnham. (ISBN#
978-1-4500-1814-2, 2010, Xlibris Publishing). I was hooked on this
book from page one! Fallen Angels, Secret Societies, Unsolved
mysteries, demons, hell creatures, all combined to make this a
page turner not soon forgotten. (And the way it ends makes you
suspect there IS more to come!) Sixteen year old Serenity is the
center of a Prophecy, and the man who took her in as an
orphaned baby, Dr Keats, is in a race against time to protect her.
You'll want to keep turning the pages --- as you hold your breath
--to see what's going to happen next! My only complaint was that I
wish it could have been a longer book. If you want to read
something entirely different from the norm, do yourself a favor
and grab this book. I don't think you will be disappointed!
LORD OF THE ISLES by Debbie Mazzuca (ISBN# 978-1-4201-1005-0,
Kensignton, April 2010) is a Historical Time Travel with a touch of
old-world Scottish magic. Ali Graham somehow ends up in
medieval Scotland and in the bed of warrior-leader Rory
MacLeod. Thus starts an adventure that is fast paced, full of
emotions and danger at the same time, and a change of life for Ali
that she never dreamed of. Great book! The characters were real
and the setting very authentic. A dont miss by this author!
Best Selling author Hannah Howell's IF HE'S WILD (ISBN#
978-1-4201-0462-2 Kensington Zebra, June 2010) is a Historical
(with a bit of magic) in medieval Scotland. Ms. Howell has a
wonderful talent of bringing any Scottish Era to vivid life and her
characters are always endearing. Lady Alethea Vaughn Channing
is a woman who has visions --and the one that comes most vivid
and often is of the mysterious man she sees in her dreams. When
she gets the feeling that she could be the only one to save him,
she is even more determined to meet him. But Lord Hartley
Greville (a spy for the Crown) doesn't want or need her in his life.
Fate has other ideas. Reader fans will love this newest one!
Paranormal Author Rosemary Laurey's KISS ME FOREVER (ISBN#
978-1-4201-1495-9, Kensington Zebra) is a Re-Print (May 2010) of
an orginal 2004 book in her "Forever" Series. Dixie LePage has
her hands full with one very sexy complication ---a vampire.
Complications only get worse when she realizes she's more than
just attracted to this centuries old immortal --who just happens to
be of Shakespearing fame --Christopher Marlowe. Full of page
turning vampire suspense, reader fans will love re-reading this
new edition, and new fans just might find a new favorite author!
STEALING KATHRYN by Jacquelyn Frank (ISBN# 978-1-4201-0984-9,
Zebra Paranormal Romance, May 2010) is book #2 in the
"Gatherers" Series. An absolute page turner! "Sandman" Aidrian
reaps the dark energy from humans' nightmares. His soul is as
twisted and dark as the dreams he garners. When he 'discovers'
Kathryn, he realizes there is a connection that can't be denied;
she shares the same dark desires that he does. Their union will
mean either salvation --- or permanent hell for them both. I love
all of Ms. Frank's books, and this one will be a keeper like the
previous books. A Don't miss!
Anitra Lynn McLeod's DARK HARVEST is book #2 in the "Onic
Empire" Series. (ISBN #: 978-0-7582-3534-3, Aphrodisia
Kensington, May 2010). "TO BE a Harvester is to exist with pain
that should be pleasure and desire bound by duty." Sterlave of
Gant has to choose a bondmate and picks the empress's
daughter Kasmiri. Only Kasmiri didnt want to be picked by him.
Still, Sterlave is determined to satisfy her deepest desires and
needs and soon wins Kasmiri over. This is a HOT, Erotic book, but
also a fast paced intriguing romance.
Last but not least is DARKNESS I WEEP by Award Winning author
Julie D'Arcy. (Moongypsy Press, ISBN#: ISBN: 1451509928
EAN-13: 978-1451509922, 2010). An engrossing page turner full of
sensual heat, passion, danger, and eternal love, this is a definite
Keeper book! Vincent D'Armano is cursed and destined to be
turned into a vampire. When Detective Alara Gale meets him she
is immediately attracted to him. Just one problem: Alara hates
vampires and she has been hunting for the one who killed her
childhood boyfriend. In order to save Vincent, they travel back in
time to confront the evil sire Epatha. Their love will have to be
strong enough to save Vincent ---or they'll both die. As a reader
fan of Ms. D'Arcy, I can truthfully say that this book rates right up
there with all her others. A definite DON'T MISS!
