WELCOME BACK to an Updated Reviews Page! There are a variety of books this round, so sit back and
enjoy!

First is MIDNIGHT COVE, (Wild Rose Press, ISBN: 1-60154-505-3) by Romantic Suspense author Cierra James.
Although this is the third book in the stories of the sexy Rawlins Brothers, like the previous two this can be
read alone. Nick Rawlins is in desperate need of a break from his County Medical Examiner job and despite
wanting nothing more than a long peaceful vacation, he nonetheless agrees to help search for a missing
woman in Italy. Only, Krista Vincent isn't missing. She's finally grabbed her independence from an over
protective father and has moved to Italy to try and uncover secrets linked to her ancestors. There, danger
and death surrounds Krista, but Nick comes to the rescue just in time. Filled with non stop action, mystery,
passion, and a unique plot, this book will remain a "keeper" on Romantic Suspense fans' shelves.

FLYING FREE (Treble Heart Books, ISBN: 978-1-936127-05-4) by contemporary author Amber Polo brings
readers a look into the world of Airparks, planes, and flying. Tying a romance around an engrossing story
about two complete opposites, the author brings to life the goings and comings of airparks and the people
who live there. Lia plans on selling her father's Arizona airpark after she gets her pilots license. But
priorities start to change once she meets the people there and becomes involved in their lives. Seth wants
to build a spiritual center, and at first it seems as though he and Lia will never become a couple. Because...
conquering their mutual fear of flying might be alot easier than conquering their fear of falling in love and
committing to each other. Never fear, their happy-ever-after is guaranteed!

Changing genres, is an erotic Futuristic with a sexy Dhampir (vampire) in DHAMPIR PASSIONS (Eternal Press,
ISBN: 978-1-926704-71-5) by new author Mary Corrales. This is a very unique, highly sensual, futuristic
Novella that immediately brings the reader into the story and keeps you turning those pages. Raduslav is a
Dhampir (half human, half vampire, and brother to Vlad) who comes to the rescue of Linea when she is
threatened not only by the village people but the vampire who has already fed off her and intends to finally
claim her soon. Linea accompanies Radu on his search and together they battle the Evil standing in their
way. Readers will devour this story and be left begging this new author for MORE!

Bringing in the Christmas spirit is the Best Selling book ONE SNOWY KNIGHT (Zebra, ISBN:
978-1-4201-0450-9) by award-winning author Deborah MacGillivray. This book has already went through
three RE-prints from its original Release date; it's so popular! Widowed and now a single parent, Scottish
Lady Skena MacIain is praying for a Christmas miracle. It comes in the form of Knight Noel de Servian, a
mysterious, wounded man that needs her as much as she has needed him. Slowly, their passion burns. But
secrets from Noel's past will surge forward and threaten all they hold dear. Not wanting to give away the
story details, I will nonetheless state that this book is one of those definite DON'T MISS and a "forever
keeper" on my shelf!

A new series by Paranormal Romance author Caridad Pineiro, SINS OF THE FLESH (Grand Central, Hachette
Books, ISBN: 978-0-446-54383-5) is sure to have reader fans suddenly impatient for the next book after
reading this one! This is an incredibly unique plot and the author makes the story seem so real, as though it
could actually happen. When Caterina Shaw is diagnosed with cancer she agrees to check into a special
hospital for experimental treatments. But something goes wrong; and Caterina doesn't realize she's being
used for secret medical science testing. When a murder happens, Cat is blamed and she manages to
escape from the hospital --- but she's confused and in danger. And....she's not the same Cat that she used
to be. Now she's a deadly "Power" and she's wanted. Mick Carrera is one of the best, a mercenary that
never fails in his missions --- and he's paid to hunt Cat down and bring her back. But once he finds her, he
realizes things aren't exactly what he's been told. Now Mick has to decide to protect her or turn her in. His
decision brings danger and death to them, and the deadly cat-and-mouse chase begins. This book is action
packed, sensual, incredibly fascinating, and reader fans won't be disappointed!

Next, by newer author A.Y. Stratton is BURIED HEART (Wild Rose Press, ISBN: 1-60154-572-X) is a Romantic
Suspense taking place in the mysterious, beautiful world of the Mayans. Lauren is a Public Relations expert
and doesn't believe much in true love. That is, until she rescues a handsome stranger, Archeology
Professor Luis, and becomes involved in his quest for a rare document. Their adventure takes them into
danger and intrigue, deep into the Mexican rain forest. Filled with non stop action, a suspenseful plot and a
mystery to be solved before it's too late, this is a book readers will surely be asking the author for more
story, especially about the secondary characters.

With the scary title BLOOD SOUP (Eternal Press, ISBN: 978-1-926704-53-1) by Kelly A. Harmon, it even has a
cover that immediately catches your eye and makes you shiver. This is a medieval tale about a kingdom
destined for certain dire ruin if the King's heir isn't a girl. The characters in the story work together AND
against each other as they secretly manipulate, scheme, hope, and react to the surprising birth of the
King's heir. Filled with murder, mystery, and very dire consequences, this is a fast paced Novella with vivid
portrayal of events and characters, pulling you into this harsh world the author has created and no doubt
leaving her with new fans eagerly awaiting her next book.

New author Maggie Dove brings readers something long missing from the Romance genres of today: A
historical with the touch of GOTHIC. ANGEL OF WINDWORD (Eternal Press, ISBN: 978-1-926704-73-9). Willful,
independent Angelique is forced into an arranged marriage and leaves home to travel to Windword Hall to
be with her fiance, Nicholas Trent. Little does she know she's walking straight into a mystery that happened
with a murder four years prior but has now resurfaced to haunt the inhabitants of Windword Hall. Falling in
love with Nicholas wasn't in her plans, and neither was having danger and death surround her, but
Angelique nevertheless faces it all with bravery. Filled with suspense, authentic atmosphere for the time
period, and sensual love, this is a book Historical reader fans will no doubt love.

From author Dianne Castell, HOT AND IRRESISTIBLE (Brava, ISBN: 978-0-7582-2361-6), has a blurb that says it
all: "Southern Comfort, Savannah Style". Cop Bebe Fitzpatrick never expects to fall for a Yankee but she
quickly discovers Cop Donovan McCabe is irresistible in every way. This Contemporary immediately brings
you into the southern atmosphere of Savannah, bringing the characters to vivid life, and drawing you into
their lives. There's mystery, a few ghosts, some good ole southern fun, and alot of HOT passion. You won't
be able to put this book down until you're finished reading!

Multi-genre author Julia Templeton gives readers a scorching read in SINJIN (Aphrodisia Kensington, ISBN:
978-0-7582-3815-3) the first in a series on the Rayborne Brothers (The Rakehells of Rochester). Sinjin is the
oldest, a too-hot-too-sexy-too-insatiable-for-his-own-good and never plans on settling down with one
woman. Until an ultimatum forces him to seek a bride. Enter Katelyn who is betrothed to an older man. One
look at her and Sin realizes she's the one he wants. Thus starts a foray into carnal pleasures mixed with
growing love that will scorch the pages. Warning: this book is very sexually explicit.

Another Aphrodisia/Kensington book, (ISBN: 978-0-7582-3221-2) SIMPLY WICKED by Kate Pearce brings
readers into the sexual fantasy appetites of the patrons of a brothel in Regency England. There you meet
Anthony Sokorvysky whose sexual pursuits lead him into a corner he can't get out of. Forced to wed or lose
his fortune, Anthony sets his sights on Marguerite Lockwood. Together the two will find love while fulfilling
their every sexual fantasy. Warning: this book is very sexually explicit and does have same-sex scenes.

In VOW OF SEDUCTION by Angela Johnson (Zebra, ISBN: 978-1-4201-0857-6) readers are plunged into 1267
England, in the time of the Crusades. Sir Alex de Beaumont married Lady Katherine but after their marriage
night he left to fight for King Edward. He was captured and held prisoner and Katherine believes he is
either dead or has deserted her. She plans to marry someone else just as Alex returns to claim his wife. Kat
has a hard time forgiving Alex and he has to re-seduce her all over again, gain her trust as well as her love
if they are to ever be together again. Passionate, and accurately vivid in atmosphere, this is a wonderful
tale of heroism and undying love.

Another book acquainting readers with the Crusades, TAMING THE BEAST (Zebra, ISBN: 978-1-4201-0243-07)
by Heather Grothause, is a fantastic Gothic-style story similar to the old "Beauty and the Beast" fairytale.
Returning from the Crusades, Roderick Cherbon is battle weary and horribly battle scarred --- physically
and mentally. He becomes a recluse in the shadows of his home, wanting to be left forever alone. But, the
decree comes that he has to marry. Lady Michaela Fortune is desperate to save her family from the poverty
that is slowly destroying them so she agrees to the only solution offered: Tame the Cherbon Beast and
marry him. Guaranteed to have one of those perfect "happy-ever-after" endings, this is a definite keeper
for reader fans of the Historical as well as though who love that touch of Gothic.

Historical author Elizabeth Hoyt's latest TO DESIRE A DEVIL (Grand Central Hachette Books, ISBN:
978-0-446-40694-9) is an intoxicating read. Dangerous, wild, Reynaud St. Aubyn escapes captivity from
Indians and returns to his ancestral home only to find Beatrice Corning there with his uncle. Demanding his
due as the rightful earl to the estate, Reynaud first sees Beatrice motives as suspicious. But little does he
realize that this beguiling woman is determined to win his love --- no matter what she has to do --- and that
includes getting past his wildness and his ruthless determination to keep her at arm's length. Another great
read from an author that brings her characters to vivid life and pulls the reader immediately into the story.

Although listed as a Romance, FORBIDDEN, THE TEMPTATION (LindenBayRomance, ISBN: 978-1-60202-154-9),
by Samantha Sommersby, is told in First Person Point of View by the hero. It's a unique way to tell a story,
and it immediately draws the readers into his story as Jacob (Jake) Madison recounts how he became a
wolf; and this sexy Cowboy's personality comes through in his own words. When a dangerous snow storm
delivers forensic psychologist Alison Connelly into his arms, Jake is immediately smitten. But in order to
keep her, he has to expose his secret and risk the love steadily growing between them. This is actually
book #4 of a series by the author; readers are encouraged to look for the previous three in order to fully
grasp this intriguing world the author has created.

Last, but not least, is a Christmas book by Amy Garvey. CHRISTMAS SPIRIT (Zebra, ISBN: 978-1-4201-0819-4).
Full of humor, ghosts, mishaps, and lots of "Christmas Spirit" this is a book Holiday-readers don't want to
miss! Charlotte Prescott has a ghost problem in the quaint old house she inherited. But what has her most
occupied is the sexy reporter Sam Landry. Sparks fly between them, and chances are the ghost "helping
bring them together" won't have to work very hard to keep them together! A fun, VERY enjoyable, fast
paced book not to be missed this Christmas OR the next!
