This past year has brought the joy of countless books into hands of eager readers. I
found myself buying more books than I was able to read at a time! My TBR Pile started
growing and it began to look like a mountain instead of a pile. But as any reader will
confess, we don't care how many books we have ... it feeds our addiction and we're
happiest when surrounded by those books.
            Below are some of the books I've recently read for Review. I do not Rate the
Reviews as I feel that each book is special in its own way, some more so than others,
but rating them isn't fair as this is just my opinion only.
           To start, are two fantastic Paranormal Romances by Cassie Ryan. CEREMONY OF
SEDUCTION (Aphrodisia Kensington, Aug. 2007, ISBN: 978-0-7582-2065-3) is an erotic
foray into a fantasy that starts out with dreams. Alyssa Moss has always felt she was
too different from her family. Her dreams are filled with the ecstasy a stranger gives her,
making her feel things no other can. Stone is that mystery man of her dreams and he
has been searching for Alyssa for years. To her surprise, she learns she is a long-lost
Princess from another world. The passion between Stone and Alyssa scorch the pages
of this erotic adventure. It even has the  book's warning: "This is a REALLY HOT book" on
the back cover. Erotic fans will devour this story! Author Cassie Ryan's other book,
VISION OF SEDUCTION (Aphrodisia Kensington, Aug. 2008, ISBN: 978-7582-2066-0) has
another sexy hero from an otherworld.  Readers will also be reunited with the
characters of the previous book. Prince Grayson de Klatch needs Katelyn Hunt's Seer
powers to help save his planet. The erotic passion between the two explodes in the
pages of this story and lovers of this genre won't be able to put it down!
           Told in the First Person Point of View, STORM BORN by author Richelle Mead
(Zebra, Aug. 2008, ISBN: 978-1-4201-0096-9) is a Paranormal Romance packed with
nonstop action, full of otherworldly beings, a tough heroine, and not one --- but two ---
sexy heroes. Eugenie Markham is a powerful shaman whose life is dedicated to
banishing the bad otherworldly beings who cross into the mortal realm. When a mission
takes her into the otherworld she discovers a secret about herself, and now she's on the
run from every baddie otherworldly being. It turns out, Eugenie's future firstborn will
threaten the world. What's a girl to do? With the help of sexy Dorian (a fairy king) and
sexy Kiyo (a shapeshifter), Eugenie races against time to fight off the baddies and get rid
of the danger threatening. A fast paced read, this book is sure to have readers waiting
for the next book, "Succubus Dreams".
           Author Susan Kearney's books are always an auto-buy for me. DANCING WITH
FIRE (TOR, July 2008, ISBN: 978-0-7653-5845-5) is a Romantic Suspense that takes
place in Florida (my home state! YAY!) and is a steamy, passionate, story filled with
danger and on-the-edge-of-your-seat action. Kaylin Danner is helping her father raise her
younger sister when her father is killed in a laboratory explosion. Kaylin discovers her
father's death was the result of a now-missing formula he had developed for
revolutionary fuel. Her father's business partner, Sawyer Scott, is determined to find the
missing formula, but he's also just as determined to finally win Kaylin's love. Danger
stalks them, passions flare, and the action-packed cumulation of their adventure is most
satisfactory. Reader fans of Ms. Kearney won't want to miss this one!
           You can always count on author Donna Kaufman's books to be full of steamy,
sensual emotions that scorch the pages. Another auto-buy for me, I never miss any of
her books, and THE BLACK SHEEP AND THE ENGLISH ROSE  (Brava Kensington, Aug.
2008, ISBN: 978-7582-1729-5) is one of my favorites to date. Bad boy, Finn Dalton is  
too-sexy-for-his-own-good and he's on a mission: he's after the same treasure that
jewel thief Felicity Trent is searching for. But he also wants Felicity and he's determined
that neither the treasure or Felicity will get away from him. The HEA is just right!
           Author Shanna Swendson's book DON'T HEX WITH TEXAS (Ballantine Books,
2008, ISBN: 978-0-345-4923-7) welcomes reader fans back into the crazy, fun, magical
world of Katie Chandler. She returns home to Texas (after leaving sexy hero Owen
Palmer in the magical realm) and hopes to have things calm for awhile. Katie should
have known better! Filled with lots of wonderful humor, lots of magical characters, and
even a bit of sinister evil stalking around, this book is a fun read not to be missed!
          Shannon Leigh specializes in writing erotic Paranormal Romances. I love every
one of her books.  Her characters are real, the plots are unique, and the writing style
gives a reader everything they want in a good sexy story. CHASING BOOTY (Amber Quill
Press, ISBN: 978-1-60272-5) is actually more of a Futuristic Paranormal, but has all Ms.
Leigh's trademark spice and adventure. Gaelyn is a human Bounty Hunter and hero
Reese is an Alien. HOT sparks fly between these two, sizzling from page to page. Laced
with Humor, this is a fast paced action story you just won't be able to put down! Ms.
Leigh's world building skills bring the reader right into the story, making it all the more
'real'.  If you want a bit of horror mixed with the erotic paranormal, readers will not want
to miss LYCAN LORE.  Ms. Leigh's different approach to the werewolf idea is sensual
and unique. Cassandra meets werewolf Cray on a camping trip, and nothing is ever
going to be the same in her life again. You really haven't read about "werewolf lust" until
you read this story!  Be sure to read the next book , LYCAN LORE TWO,  also!
